Trail des Mines 2024: behind the scenes

In addition to the staff of the organizer, a team of volunteers, guides and of the staff of the MNM led by the coordinator of the technical service, Raymond Hoffmann, was on duty to ensure the tunnel safety. A big thank you to them all.

MNM closed on Thursday, May 9th – next tours from Friday

At our recent MNM conference, historian Denis Klein presented and commented on rare film excerpts about the fascinating history of Luxembourg mining. It became a journey back in time for the participants.

Security briefing 2024

Two weeks ago, the annual security briefing was held for our volunteers, guides, train drivers and staff. One group was led through the tunnel by the technical coordinator, Raymond Hoffmann, another by the coordinator of the collections and the guide, Denis Klein, and the head of the studio, Liam Schanck.

Result 2023: 12.500 visitors in our mine

The MNM General Assembly met on Friday, March 15th 2024 in the multipurpose room. Result: 12.500 persons in 2023 visited our tunnel. A big “Thank You” to the Ministry of the Economy (Direction Général Tourisme), to the City of Rumelange and to all of you.
